During the Autopromotec exhibition which took place in Bologna from May 20 to 24, Hankook unveiled its new tyre called Kinergy 4S. This tyre will replace the Optimo 4S and will equip passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

An all-season tyre

Developed for European weather conditions, the tyre will allow drivers to travel safely without having to change tyres every six months. The Kinergy 4S can even be used in countries where winter tyres are compulsory. It displays the symbol M + S and the three-peak mountain with a snowflake:

A double winning tyre

With a new asymmetrical rolling band and 3D stripes, the new Hankook tyre allows you to enjoy the benefits of a summer tyre (short braking distance, pleasant driving on dry and wet roads) and the benefits of winter tyres (traction and braking on moderate snow).

The interior of the tyre is specifically designed for winter, particularly with a large number of strips for safe braking conditions in autumn and winter. The tread and V-shaped crosswise grooves allow greater control of the vehicle on snowy roads. The tread wear indicators were added at regular intervals in the grooves so drivers can quickly and easily check if their tyres meet the minimum limits for winter tyres.

The widening of the belt and the new composition of silica and rubber both guarantee durability and improve its profitability. Combined with the four main grooves, this enables the optimization of the water evacuation and avoids aquaplaning.

The Kinergy 4S range will offer different sizes ranging from 14 to 18 inches in series 70 to 40. The tread widths from 155 to 255 mm in T, H and V speed ratings.
