A new look for TyreComp’s ranking
Tyrecomp’s rankings can be found on this blog, every quarters. An unmissable appointment which is now illustrated with infographics.
The rankings is produced with data gathered on TyreComp’s price comparison websites and analyses consumers’ preferences among 200 brands across 15 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The ranking lists the three most researched tyre brands by consumers in the ‘car’ category. It doesn’t take into account the size of the market but rather focuses on the position of each manufacturer in these 15 countries.
The ranking also informs you of the three most popular tyre brands in Europe overall.
As expected, Michelin is the most popular brand in Europe
For the first quarter of 2015, without surprise, Michelin settles on top of the podium, followed by Continental and Goodyear.
In France, as in Belgium, Spain or Italia among others, the French brand is the most demanded. Germans stay true to themselves and offer to Continental the first step of their podium. Continental is also the favourite brand in Denmark and the Netherlands.
Only Ireland puts Bridgestone at the head of its ranking. The Japanese brand surprises us by its absence in the top 3 of the most popular brands in Europe.
